Apple plans to launch many new devices in 2023. These may include a new iPad mini, MacBook Air, iPad Pro in 15-inch and 14-inch sizes, new iPhones, and a new version of the Apple Watch. These are in addition to the new Apple products that were released earlier this year. Here is a list of Apple products they have or might introduce this year. But keep in mind that these new devices are just rumors, so it’s best not to get too excited until there is an official announcement.
New Apple devices launched in 2023
14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro
In 2023, Apple started introducing its new products by announcing two models of the MacBook Pro. These are the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. They are powered by the M2 Pro and M2 Max chipsets, which are designed to provide excellent performance and battery life. Apple says that these machines can perform six times better than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Pro. Both models come with a Liquid Retina XDR display, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, a six-speaker sound system, and high-quality microphones. They also include some unique features like Continuity Camera, Desk View, Center Stage, and Studio Light.
The 14-inch MacBook Pro costs Rs 1,99,900 and the 16-inch MacBook Pro costs Rs 2,49,900. If you want the M2 Max version of the 14-inch MacBook Pro, it will cost you Rs 3,09,900. And if you want the M2 Max version of the 16-inch MacBook Pro, it will cost you Rs 3,49,900.
Mac Mini with M2 and M2 Pro
At the same time as the new MacBooks were launched, Apple also released a product that many people were waiting for: the Mac mini. Apple has improved the inside of the device and now offers two models of the Mac mini. One has the M2 chipset and the other has the M2 Pro chipset. The device now has more memory and better ways to connect to other things, such as support for up to two displays on the M2 model and up to three displays on the M2 Pro model.
Additionally, the Mac mini now features a 10 Gigabit Ethernet option for faster connectivity and supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. Apple has also added two USB-C ports with support for Thunderbolt 4, two USB-A ports, and an HDMI 2.0 port to connect to external displays. The M2 Pro variant also includes an additional 10 Gigabit Ethernet port, two additional USB-C ports, and a built-in SDXC card slot. Both models come with a magnetic power connector and support for up to 64GB of unified memory. These upgrades to the Mac mini are designed to improve the performance and connectivity options for users who need a small but powerful desktop computer.
HomePod (2nd generation)
Apple has updated its HomePod after three years. The new version of the smart speaker, called the 2nd generation, has a new processor called the S7 chipset, which is the same one used in the Watch Series 7. The new HomePod has one big speaker and five microphones, which will help it understand what people are saying. In India, the HomePod 2nd Gen costs Rs 32,900.
The HomePod 2nd Gen has all the features of the original HomePod, such as Siri integration, smart home control, and music streaming through Apple Music. In addition, the new HomePod can now be set up as a home theater speaker with Apple TV 4K for a more immersive sound experience. This feature is possible due to the Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos support in the HomePod. The HomePod 2nd Gen is available in two colors, Space Gray and White, and has a sleek design that will fit in with most home decor.

iPhone 15 series
Every year, people are excited to see the new features and improvements of the latest iPhone. For the upcoming iPhone 15 lineup, Apple may add USB Type-C to all the new models, like the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. This will make charging and syncing more convenient, and it will be similar to other Apple products. However, Apple may develop their own USB-C port that will only work with Apple-made cables.
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus may have Dynamic Island instead of the notch seen in the previous iPhone model. The iPhone 15 Pro Max may have a periscope lens to improve zoom capabilities, but the other models may not have any significant camera upgrades.
In terms of performance, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max may use the upcoming A17 chipset, which will be built using a 3nm process by Apple’s chip supplier, TSMC. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus may use the A16 Bionic, which is the same chip used in the iPhone 14 Pro.
Apple Watch Series 9
Apple upgrades its smartwatch, the Apple Watch, every year. The next version, the Apple Watch Series 9, is expected to come in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm. It may look the same as previous versions, without any major design changes. While the Series 8 introduced the 49mm Watch Ultra, it is unlikely that a new variant will come out for the Series 9. However, Apple may release an upgraded version of the Watch Ultra with better features and sensors. The new Apple Watch Series 9 and the Watch Ultra might be launched together with the iPhone 15 series, expected in September 2023.

15-inch MacBook Air
Apple may release a new MacBook Air in a larger 15-inch size, which would be a first for the device. Similar to the 13.6-inch model released in 2022, this new version could also use the M2 chip, but with a faster processing speed. The laptop is expected to include all the features of previous MacBook Air models. Reports suggest that Apple could announce the 15-inch MacBook Air at their typical spring event in April.
MacBook Air with M3
Apple may introduce a new MacBook Air later this year that uses the M3 chip. The screen size is not confirmed yet, but it is speculated that the new MacBook Air could have the same 13.6-inch display as the 2022 model. The M3 chip, which is built on TSMC’s 3nm fabrication process, is expected to offer 15% better performance and 30% more power efficiency compared to the M2 chip. The release date for the M3 MacBook Air is expected to be towards the end of 2023.
Moreover, the M3-based MacBook Air is speculated to feature Apple’s latest macOS software and an improved FaceTime camera with better low-light performance, making it ideal for remote working and video conferencing.
The new MacBook Air is also expected to have more storage options, with a minimum of 512GB SSD storage, and up to 16GB of unified memory, providing faster performance and smoother multitasking. Additionally, it may come with Thunderbolt 4 ports and support for Wi-Fi 6E, offering faster internet speeds.
