Whether it’s Tony Stark’s irreverent wit or Steve Rogers’ unwavering sense of justice, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has something for everyone, and it will continue to entertain and inspire audiences for generations to come.

During the filming of the first Avengers movie, director Joss Whedon recalled a funny sequence that happened on set. Apparently, Robert Downey Jr. (who plays Tony Stark/Iron Man) had a habit of hiding food around the set, which led to a hilarious incident involving Chris Evans (who plays Steve Rogers/Captain America).

According to Whedon, Evans was filming a scene where he had to enter a room and find Downey eating blueberries. As a prank, Downey had placed blueberries all over the set, including on Evans’ costume. When Evans entered the room and saw Downey eating the blueberries, he started to improvise and decided to pick up a blueberry and eat it himself.

However, Evans soon realized that he had picked up a blueberry that was stuck to his costume, and he couldn’t get it off. He continued with the scene, trying to act cool and casual, but with a blueberry still stuck to his chest. The entire crew reportedly burst out laughing at the unexpected turn of events.

Whedon later joked that Evans’ performance was so good that they had to use the take with the blueberry stuck to his costume in the final cut of the movie. The incident showcased the fun and playful atmosphere on the set of the Avengers movies, and how the actors and crew were able to have a good time while still creating some of the most epic superhero films of all time.
